Professor Ferranto has posted up a really interesting Graphic Design page that seems to be really helpful in the art world of graphic design.
More along the lines of graphic design theory, but it is all put in one great place to gather all information.

since we are creating our own webpages…
i have come across an interesting Design Blog, that has the simplest but nicest look. Since i am learning how to create things on a website i now seem to take notice is all different aspects of the design. I can relate to how they created the back end of the page. The color situation is simple and effected, and the textures added to the background work well.
But i can say that the one thing this website should invest in changing is the scrolling feature. it will make the page look way more developed.

Found this pretty cool article this week about Doodling, thought it was something fun to share.
I always find myself to do this when I’m bored or feel like drawing. I doodle. i just create random things on paper, whatever comes to mind.

this website i found this weekend when looking for interesting things to know about HTML. This website actually gives you step by step on how to make a website. this is great for someone who wants to learn but doesn’t want to go to school to learn it. Its the basics and a little more it seems.

Even though we were supposed to create our own wireframe for class, i wanted to be able to reference others as well that were interesting incase i wanted to change anything on my own. I like to find ones that are very much image based because i feel that is the most important thing to have on a home page. Too much wording draws attention away from the page.
Web Designers Guide to Photo Selection
When looking into what I want to do for creating my website, I feel like images are the most important thing to have on a webpage. If you don’t have good quality images or interesting images you won’t keep the viewer on your page for long. I felt that this link helped me to figure out how i wanted to use images on the page I will be creating.
When figuring out what topic i wanted to base my semester on i decided to go with ecology. I wanted to base it more on the flora fauna aspect of ecology. I am very interested in hiking and being outside. I have recently started to photograph my destinations using my camera as well as my iPhone, so i figured this would be a great topic for me to base my work on.
